Who are we?

We are a hobbyist group of Tri-City locals who practice the art and science of Zymurgy. This includes homebrewers of beer, mead, cider, wine, and anything else you want to ferment and drink!

What do we do?

We meet every third Thursday of the month at rotating venues. We have several events throughout the year including quarterly beer competitions, biannual Megabrews (Brew on a professional system in town) and a Holiday party with lots of home fermented beverages, door prizes, and games. We incorporate fermentation education as well as industry happenings, regional events and get togethers.

Why do we do it?

Our motto is “Responsible Consumption of Excellent Beers,” where beer can replaced by mead, cider, wine, sake, or other non-distilled product made with yeast. Our mission is to continuously learn about how to achieve excellence, and to spread the word to the community about the existence of fine potables and how to appreciate and consume such, responsibly.

If you are interested in learning more about the club, join our mailing list, email our publicist publicist@mcza.org, or better yet, come have a drink at a meeting and say hi!
